"She could feel the jetstreams pushing at her back coil tighter around her, and pull her to a gradual but firm stop. She opened her eyes, and saw something bouncing towards her.

if this is to be considered for an anthology, then perhaps we should stick to the emotional tone of the thread that is on page one... i don't wanna be a party pooper, and i had invited folks to come and have fun, but something seems to be evolving that i would love to see blossom in the spirit that is emerging.

so i feel a bit stuck... i enjoyed Iran Harris' contribution, but it seems to detour off of the trajectory that was building. how do people propose we hold/value the creativity of all and move ahead?
Let's just keep this nonstructured and see where it goes. I want to see unfettered imaginings in this free flow of freestyle creativity. I don't want anyone to be constrained by guidelines at this point.
Fun? What did the voice in her head mean when it said "Let's have some fun!" Ma Ru gripped her head and knashed her teeth, trying to silence the voices that were having this strange conversation...if anything, she was more resentful that the discussion was being held without her input than the fact that it was occurring at all. And who the hell was this Iran Harris?!? Was he the key to her ever frequent lapses into insanity. Ma Ru grabbed her beam gun, checked the charge, and tucked it in her belt. She draped a brace of therm grenades diagonally across her torso, sheathed her combat blade and adjusted the visual enhancers of her visor to optical tracking. She was going to find this Iran Harris. A feral smile parted her seductively full lips. And when she did...Ma Ru clenched her fists in resolve and proceeded toward the west coast across an endless track of wasteland.
Honestly... I think Richard was working his mack game for a minute so not to be a blocker I stepped to the side and allowed him to get his cyber-freak on! Player to player he had some of the ladies hook line and sinker! Dudes need to respect game when they see it in action! I now return back to the sidelines and observe in utter silence! Do your thang Richard! (Wink!)
Mu Ra found herself on rocky soil. She looked up...it was the gray, ash filled sky from her vision! And they stood before her: two of them this time, both fuzzy and orange their black eyes protruding from long stalks. In the distance, she could see more of the creatures huddled together as if for comfort.
The buzzing death shrills filled her mind once again! Oh -- it hurts! Mu Ra clapped her hands to her ears.
You can quiet them.... The voice came from the larger of the beings. It took a step towards her. The voice was not spoken with its mouth -- it had no such orifice -- but transmitted from his counsiousness to hers.
Concentrate... This a was a directive: firm and assured.
With difficulty Mu Ra focused her energy upon the screams...upon silencing them...And then they were no more.
Did I..? She couldn't finish the thought. Had she simply wiped the creatures from the face of this strange alien world?

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
