Space shuttles. the symbol of human progress and potential. the symbol of american greatness. the space shuttle stood for alot of things in my opinion but the one that stands out the most is the failure of science fiction. If science fiction had done its job the shuttle program probably wouldnt have ended or there would have been a waiting replacement after its end. science fiction is supposed to inspire humanity to progress and defy boundries perhaps i am wrong but most modern science fiction neglects the final frontier in favor of cyber subjects. what is your opinion?
