Black Magic

Black Fantasy dwells in its own realm, it is supposed to be based on our beliefs, depictions and history but too often we rely on a eurocentric way of thinking when it comes to casting and conjuration. I created this group to discuss why?

Does anyone know about Il or Ij Seperato or Separato? It is the physical embodiment of the separation of light from darkness. I found information a few days ago but now I cannot find it. Continue

What do you think when you hear the word “voodoo”?  Zombies?  Superstition? Spirit possession?  Even those of us who respect this spiritual tradition will tend to think of these things when the word…Continue

When it comes to African mythology it is not mythology because these spiritual and supernatural forces are REAL and are still being accessed. Books that you would get info from would be reference books. One of the best information books is WEST AFRICAN SECRET SOCIETIES. It holds a lot of good info on these secret societies and their belief systems.

I'm working on a sword & socrery story. When I first wrote it......{not published}.....I followed the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter concept. But showing it to a publisher. He wanted to buy it, but to my shock, it was onl for the characters I created, not for the story. He wanted to change them all around. Turning my main character Gay, And the other character white. I couldn't do it........I cut my wrist open and bled out my heart and soul into these characters. I left saying there was NO way I was going to let that happen......So now I'm looking at publishing myself. What do you guys think? Was this the right choice?

I agree with Brother Milton. When I did research for my first sword and soul story, I discovered that Voudon was actually a religion where the saints of Catholism became Haitan/African. It's fascinating because when "Voodoo" is portrayed by white media it's almost always negative.

By the way Bushmama Africa, you should check out "The Horsemen" series by Jiba Anderson . He models his characters after the Orishas.

i would love to help create a comic book dedicated to Orisha and the powers they have using the stories we already know about them but add them to current themes. I saw one video about Ogun and Oshun in comic book form on youtube did any of you see it?

Been Debating If I Should Finish This Story

Posted by Jacqueline Loggins on April 23, 2018 at 5:16pm 0 Comments

Effortlessly I pulled the tan stocking above my knee, sliding it across the thickness of my thigh before securing it to the garter. My hand now moved to my large, plump lips, where I dotted a speck of moisturizer before rubbing them together to get a perfect, even distribution. They now taste and smelled of cherry spice. Now for some color, I thought, opening the pallet of endless lip stains to see which would suit my attire for the evening.

This one! I decided as my finger tapped near the burnt orange circle titled Pale Sunbeam. The laser brush slid across airbrushing my top lip, then the lower. Blotting my lips, I smiled in the light-framed mirror, satisfied with my choice of color. The spotlights illuminated my sequin bra top, creating dazzling sparkles of purple and gold.…

I Was Starving

Posted by Jacqueline Loggins on April 23, 2018 at 4:55pm 1 Comment

No, I wasn't starving for food. I was starving or opportunity, direction, human interaction and friendship, but mostly I was starving for innovation and success. You see, around this time last year I found myself in a rut. I was doing hair, writing stories, making dolls etc etc. It felt like being on a hamster wheel to nowhere. And top on of everything else, our family was in a financial bind. Yes, I our ends didn't meet and we have more month at the end of our money.

One day while trying to complete a doll and at the same time worried if our gas would be cut off, something just told me to stop. I was trying to put out so much, but was taking nothing back in in return. Yes, I had burned out and what's worse our family was broke. So, I suggested to my…

SKYCITY TALKRADIO

THE UNDERGROUND BY ROXANNE BLAND

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
