I know! Totally into S&M! It's all through the early comics from the 40's. I was hoping for something a bit more interesting like her losing her power when with the man she truly loved. That kind of stuff is all in ancient Greek mythos and the Hephestus they presented struck me as they type who would have pulled a fast one like that. It would have been quite logical (and deviously simple) a flaw. Except for the Goddesses Athena and Hera, many of the Greek goddesses fell to the charms of 'Heroes'. In that episode from JL season 1 when BM was fighting the undead on Themyscira he looked as much of a 'classical hero' as you could get.
I don't agree that a 'new team couldn't have progressed the series better'. I think it more probable that a team with similar sensitivities to the flow of the earlier series and that of the DC Universe they could have made equally if not better stories. The original team was no doubt awesome, but I strongly believe that there are talented writers and directors who could have picked up the reins and done quite well with it. I do however agree that the chances of the 'suits' running things over there picking the right team and then staying out of their way were 'next to none to none.'

Ahh but they thought the FIRST season of JLU was going to be the last. Thats why JLU season two was so poor compared to season one that had the Cadmus story arc.
The BM/WW romance ONLY worked on JLU because the JLU Wonder Woman was far different than the comic book Wonder Woman.
I don't think a different team could have progresses JLU and better than Macduff and Co.. They just didnt have enough time to develope season 2 with the Legion of Doom thing.
Oh yeah...the "Flaw" in WWs armor was a reference to WWs origins and the guy who first wrote her comic. The flaw was that if someone could get her to touch her bracelets together they would stick like manacles rendering her helpless...the guy who was writing WW back then was REALLY into S&M...no kidding.

I will give them credit in that they 'wrapped' it neat as possible considering they weren't going to have anymore seasons. I just wish they turned it over to another team to take it into the 'next phase' as the JLU was going to have the task of helping to rebuild the earth after Apocalypse's invasion. I was disappointed at how they 'punked out' with the BM/WW romance. I totally believe if any man in the DC Universe could be a match for WW as mate it was BM! I thought they were going to roll in that direction when they had WW speaking with Hephestus and he mentioned that 'he always put a flaw in his work to keep things interesting'. That meaning even her armor had such a flaw and I was willing to bet it was going to come down to BM having to figure it out. I guess Dwayne Duffy didn't have enough pull on the writing/producing team to get those white dudes out of their fear of the 'female being more powerful' crap. On the other hand, they did explore the possibility in the recent "Crisis" JLU movie in which the parallel 'Justice Syndicate's' 'Owlman' and 'Superwoman' were in a (albeit twisted) relationship. There was even a moment when during her clash with BM, SW showed more than a bit of sadistic attraction to him and gave us a taste of what she could do should she choose.

Fan fic is a great exercise and hella FUN!
Yea that JLU season 2 was one of the best seasons of any sci-fi/fantasy stories I've ever seen. Always wondered where they were going to go with Stewart after that...

I'm reluctant to write 'fan-fiction' unless I'm doing a pitch piece. However, I do see it as a good exercise in writing. Used to be I was against fan writings as I felt such writers would be better off making their own stories. However, after doing research for an article on making 'Fan-films' I saw that there was no less creativity to be had in fan-based work. I do see someone here is a GL(JS) fan. I have had some interesting ideas for a 'what happens next' story with the GL/Hawkgirl/Vixen love triangle established in the JLU animated series. That and the never got off the ground romance between Batman and WW I thought had huge implications that could have been entire plot lines for a whole season. Too bad I wasn't on the writing/exec producing team, I would've pushed for them!

The U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant spent hours on end planning a wide-scale domestic terrorist attack, even logging in at his work computer on the job at headquarters to study the manifestos and heinous paths of mass shooters, prosecutors say. He researched how to carry out sniper attacks, they contend, and whether rifle scopes were illegal. And all the while, investigators assert, he was amassing a cache of weapons as he ruminated about attacks on politicians and journalists.

But Christopher P. Hasson was not an isolated figure, according to a contractor who worked with him. The 49-year-old…

THE UNDERGROUND BY ROXANNE BLAND

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
