I play the flute and the piccolo. In the science fiction novel series I'm working on, a couple of the characters are (black, alien) musicians. Anyone have any pointers to African musical scales and such, especially if they are quite different from Western music? Thanks.

The music business is what I do for a living. I'm an accomplished bassist and I am also an artist manager. I own TAO Entertainment Network.

I represent recording artist Eriq Troi.

http://www.youtube.com/creativebrother   for music made mostly at home.  There's only one studio track up there, the rest were done with a K-mart keyboard and Staples headset.  If you got tips and tricks for making better beats and improving quality, please let me know.

THE UNDERGROUND BY ROXANNE BLAND

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
