I've been 'turning and burning' on my upcoming projects and have stepped back some to allow other members of the SPC to spotlight their projects and drop info. I noticed things have gotten quiet so I'm going to try and 'rattle the tree' and see what falls out. Let us know what you're working on. You may find there are others in the Coalition who are working on the same line or may be of assistance to you. Remember, the Coalition is not intended to be just a place to get info but also to link up with your fellow content creators and those who support the endeavor with related services. We are chest deep with know-how, experience and talent here. To not take advantage of it is downright criminal.

Greetings All!

Wow! Some great work going on out there! Love the Muslim sci-fi thing! In South Korea no less! And the Iraq war story with the inter-racial African Diasporic deal? Just fab!

I've self-published two novellas (MEMOIRS OF A TIME YET TO COME and LAST THINGS) and am working on a third in my Soul Eater Chronicles series. I love the shorter form of the novella and the ease of bringing a story from idea to ebook/paperback using the digital book tools out there - Amazon, CreateSpace, Smashwords, etc. I've kind of decided that after the third book is done later this year, I'll REALLY make a strong marketing push...which seems to be the hardest part of self-publishing. I've played with a few marketing tools - press release platforms, blog ads, etc. - but haven't really put a major effort into it...I know that marketing is in itself a time consuming project separate and apart from the writing.

It would be great to form a SPC Book Review Circle to write reviews for each other's work on the major ebook portals. Reviews seem to be quite important in book promotion and selling, I've discovered. While I'm happy to have been a finalist in a recent writer's fellowship, I'm still looking for the keys to getting coverage for my work.

Thanks!

Visit our Graphic Novels Page at www.onlistudios.com to see what we are doing.Birth of the Black Age, War For Planet NUBA, and the 2nd Sustah-Girl Workout Book are on in the latter stages of production as well.

Now my question is how to motivate the 3,000 plus folks here to buy on the regular from us indie Black Age folks. We all create but where are the fans and buyers? Why support the mainstream instead of your dream?

Looking to kick ass in the Rhythmistic manner!

Buyers, collectors, fans, curators need not hide or be shy! ONLI STUDIOS in expanding.

I'm publicizing a soon to be released children's project, "Nobody Told Me I Couldn't..." and I'm also  working on my first fantasy novella, "L'Truishus: Harbinger". I will definitely be going the e-book route for both in the beginning. I'd love to do a book app for each as well and of course print editions.

Been a while since I checked in here on this post so here goes!

Just finished up work on the second season of the 'Dark God's Gift' short story anthology. Authors K. Ceres Wright (GOG), William Hayashi (Darkside Trilogy), Ronald T. Jones (Warriors of the Four Worlds) and yours truly (Tales from the Long Road series) will spin dark mature tales of sci-fi, fantasy and more as the Dark God's Gift continues its invasion of the multiverse! The series kicks off on the 29th of September so if you haven't caught season one, go to the 'Dark God's Gift' Group Page here at the BSFS and catch up!

How did the series kick-off go?

I hope this discussion is still active. Hoping to get some pointers on self-publishing.

Try contacting Milton Davis. He is on Facebook and has a lot of experience.

Fallback Disk...

A group of researchers recently observed a mysterious infrared emission coming from near a pulsar in NASA's Hubble Space telescope data. This animation depicts one possible source of the emission: a "fallback disk" or a disk that formed from materials of the parent star falling back into the neutron star after a supernova. The Enslavement of the "Black Art Movement"

Posted by Turtel Onli on September 19, 2018 at 8:30am 0 Comments

During the heady days of the Black Cultural revolution in Chicago, there was a lot of art dealing with this hope and concept.  The mainstream galleries, Black art curators, historians and critics mostly stayed away from it.  Then once certain major players in this died in came the White parasites.  One a college professor the other a Jewish art dealer.  Both swooped in making deals to sell works, with the other building a entire career path for herself.  Now they are the accepted go-to authorities of this movement. That they treat as a dead slave on their plantations. "The Black Art Movement" now produces no revenue or power for the people it were supposed to benefit.

And all of this happened due to the "Black on Black boycott" that allowed non-Blacks to walk in a take it to the bank.  WHen Black do not support and endorse its own positives others come in later to reap its resources, power & wealth.

Schrödinger's Temperatures...

A new uncertainty principle holds that quantum objects can be at two temperatures at once, which is similar to the famous Schrödinger's cat thought experiment, in which a cat in a box with a radioactive element can be both alive and dead. Credit: Shutterstock

Tunable Quantum States...

When the researchers turn an external magnetic field in different directions (indicated with arrows), they change the orientation of the linear electron flow above the kagome (six-fold) magnet, as seen in these electron wave interference patterns on the surface of a topological quantum kagome magnet. Each pattern is created by a particular direction of the external magnetic field applied on the sample.

Republicans: Founded in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists and modernizers, the Republican Party quickly surpassed the Whig Party as the principal opposition to the Democratic Party. In 1860, it came to power with the election of Abraham Lincoln to the presidency. The party presided over the American Civil War and Reconstruction and was harried by internal factions and scandals toward the end of the 19th century. Today, the party supports a conservative platform (from an American political perspective), with further foundations in supply-side fiscal policies,…

At 2:30 a.m. EDT (0630 UTC) on Sept. 11, the MODIS instrument aboard NASA’s Aqua satellite looked at Hurricane Florence in infrared light. MODIS found coldest cloud top temperatures around the eye, as cold as or colder than minus 80 degrees (yellow) Fahrenheit (minus 112 degrees Celsius). Surrounding the eye were thick rings of powerful storms with cloud tops as cold as or colder than minus 70 degrees (red) Fahrenheit (minus 56.6 degrees Celsius). Credit: NASA/NRL…

SKYCITY TALKRADIO

THE UNDERGROUND BY ROXANNE BLAND

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
