This awards group, is sort of long overdue, however I am grateful one day some authors of science fiction writing will at last reap their harvest of writing, by gaining one of these awards. All the…Continue

No offence Jeff, we are doing this on our own thanks.

Black people have to learn to do stand on our own and be willing to build and work for things not instant gratification and handouts even if that means starting small.

We could present the awards at New York Comic Con. I'm sure they would give us a room.

Also we could have nominees submit a detailed synopsis with the manuscript. That would make the reading go faster.

I say we add music video to the categories. Best use of Scifi in a music video.

I can read, score and Judge as well. I know that comics may be a category and if that is so, I can help with setting that area up. Mainly because in comics there are more genres than superhero and I believe that a lot of those different genres are represented here on BSFS.

I can help read, score, and judge. We definitely need to know categories, how are we going to fund the awards event, etc. Is this an online thing, an in person thing, etc.

We should have some sort of initial meeting to lay the groundwork for what it is we want to accomplish here.

I think it's about time for those who are going to truly be on board with making these awards happen to seriously think about what role they are willing to play.

Obviously we need administrative people/organizers, a tonne of readers, and people willing to seriously critique artwork, video presentations, etc.

I'm willing to help develop the scoring criteria for the various categories of awards, and to publish the forms, etc. I'll also be happy to keep the database of who's judging what.

I have access to a telephone conference call bridge so we can start hashing out the details of the process together.

What say you all?

GREAT! We will need judges/readers to get this done properly. Thanks you all for your show of support. Keep supporting us and we will do our personal best to do the same!

Looks interesting. I'd be happy to lend a hand where I can.

I'd like to help out with this. I apologize for responding to it so late.

The U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant spent hours on end planning a wide-scale domestic terrorist attack, even logging in at his work computer on the job at headquarters to study the manifestos and heinous paths of mass shooters, prosecutors say. He researched how to carry out sniper attacks, they contend, and whether rifle scopes were illegal. And all the while, investigators assert, he was amassing a cache of weapons as he ruminated about attacks on politicians and journalists.

But Christopher P. Hasson was not an isolated figure, according to a contractor who worked with him. The 49-year-old…

THE UNDERGROUND BY ROXANNE BLAND

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
