"The Priestess" by H. Wolfgang Porter

Born of the Sword and Soul Challenge: 'Stop This!' comes the adult/fantasy online series which is a blend of African and other far-flung cultures. Beautiful, powerful and in possession of ageless wisdom, the Priestess along with her husband the deadly Valley Knight stand as guardians over the Great Valley created by ancient warring elemental powers.

As a goddess living among mortals, the Priestess maintains the balance between mortals and gods as they pass through or take up residence within the Valley and the surrounding desert region. Come sit beneath the cooling shade of palm and cypress trees but be careful. The next passerby may be a man, demon or god!

As promised, Pt. I of the second phase of the Priestess Saga begins with "All Things Sown Before Harvest." The Chief of the Aesir with the aid of Little Fish and the Valley Knight returns to his ancestral Northlands. But in his absence an old enemy has returned to lay claim and the Chief won't stand for it! The action and intrigue begins in this latest segment of The Priestess Saga!

Lady Val, you can read the 2nd and 3rd stories here ("The Night Time Traveler" and "A Conversation of Causality and Mortality") in the Discussions sections. I believe they will live up to your expectations. Thanks for the nod!

Hey everyone! I've been keeping this behind my back for months now and finally have the opportunity to get it up. Intended as both fanpage for the series and experiment, I submit the Priestess as an interactive experience. New stories will appear regularly in addition to artwork and more. All the previous stories from my personal page and the original (and cleaned up) story from the Sword and Soul Challenge will be here along with all new material. So, I hope the Priestess' current fans in addition to new ones enjoy this offering.

HAPPY MARTIN LUTHER KING JR DAY!

My wife and I were in the local MLK Walk today. We also donated suits and coats! Last year I was obese and hated walking to the mailbox. Losing 100lbs had made a huge impact on my life.

Best read of 2017

Posted by Jan S on January 15, 2018 at 12:07pm 0 Comments

The last 18 months in my life have been unpredictable, and not in good ways. Now that my health issues seem to have quieted down, it's past time I posted here.

As a freelance reviewer for Foreword Reviews magazine, I get to read free books of above-average quality from independent presses. The standout- read for last year was An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon. You can find my review here: https://www.forewordreviews.com/reviews/an-unkindness-of-ghosts/

Solomon is amazing. It seems as though this young writer distilled the essence of Octavia Butler's work and added personal perspective; what resulted is a wonder, and more than just a mixing. This novel deserves all the awards and then some; the sad and likely fact is that it probably will go mostly unnoticed.

Please check it out. If you love it, talk it up.

Working on getting the Archangel X Trilogy published!

Posted by William Hayashi on January 11, 2018 at 9:47pm 1 Comment

The next trilogy in the Darkside Universe is nearly completed. My intention is to get all three volumes published simultaneously and I'm going to need help.

The Archangel X Trilogy continues the saga of the Darkside Trilogy, following the extraordinary community of African Americans who discovered the means to beat NASA to the moon and live there secretly before Neil Armstrong arrived. The three volumes are Quarantine, Enmity, and Enlightenment, with the third installment over half way completed.

Please take a look at my GoFundMe campaign and see if it's something you can contribute to. There are Premiums for those who contribute to the campaign. Please give it serious consideration, and thank you in advance for checking it out. Thank you so much for your consideration!…

SKYCITY TALKRADIO

THE UNDERGROUND BY ROXANNE BLAND

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
