Published: blurred edges

Posted on July 27, 2009 at 9:09pm 2 Comments

Expanded Horizons recently published my short story "blurred edges" here in their July 2009 issue. It's a reprint of a story that was originally published by the webzine Underground Voices back in 2005.

"blurred edges" was an easy story to write because so much of me went into it. I know writers say things like that all the time, but a few of the story's elements are based on my personal experiences. That… Continue

Lost

Posted on March 5, 2009 at 1:54pm 2 Comments

Last night's episode of Lost was my favorite of the series so far. I have yet to discuss it here because it's such a complex television show and I wouldn't even know where to start, though I'm sure if you ask some of its more avid fans, they might say otherwise.

For me, Lost's appeal is its storytelling. Yes, Evangeline Lily is cute, yes, Terry O'Quinn can act his ass off, and yes, Harold Perrineau is versatile as hell, but it's the storytelling that gets me. It… Continue

Velcome <3
They have music too. I didn't linger extra long, but will def return. Cool that there are fae references. I like the background they laid out of a corporation that designs dreams. I've always been attracted to this sort of thing (watched Dreamscape and Total Recall several times). I'll have to give it more reading when I get some of these items on 'the list' completed (the half-unwrapped box with the steamship from your glorious trinketorium is coming along as a mini illustration by the way) <3

Shine brightly, Sir.

Afternoon Sir ^_^

Thought you might appreciate this: http://www.psychecorporation.com/ Stumbled onto it, and looked into it more deeply, after reading the engaging bio.
A direct link to the world of it is here: http://www.psychecorporation.com/world/index.html
It's a kind of Cyberpunk meets dreampunk if you will.

Hey Malon! I didn't know you were here either. Yeah this one's for another Merkabah Rider weird western anthology. The Rider gets cornered by a gang of Lilith's sons who rode for the Confederacy and tote along this supernaturally powerful cannon that in actuality is one of the guns Satan created for the angelic rebellion like in Milton's Paradise Lost. It's called 'The Infernal Napoleon.'

Peace *_^

Beta child, Gamma child is very deftly written. Eloquent.Your dialogue is incredible. (I don't want to add spoilers), but I like how you revealed a place of sorts that leaves us wondering at the end. I look forward to your future fantasy/sci-fi writings. Definitely let me know when they come out so I can support and spread the word.
Thankyou also for your support with the Maji Omnibus. I signed up with Lulu today, since Createspace's reps just don't seem to know why their system is acting strangely with the new cover and title page. Maybe the reps are new. They were never this bad before.
Lulu's more expensive, but there's far less hassle so far...
I hope you find the stories fulfilling *_^ There are more Motherland Faerie stories planned. Currently working on a series of novelettes (text novels). Have you been to quillpill.com? I started a story there, but will add the novelettes to Smashwords.com as they're completed.
You should probably add your stories to Smashwords. Formatting them isn't too bad. It seems it, but it's pretty easeful, and they convert it to all of the different ebook formats. It's great for reaching readers. Alot of folks are switching to ebooks.

Another solid site you might like is textnovel.com (they offer a 1000. reward also... you could easily nail that if you wanted to add a text novel).

Keep on.
You're wordsmithing is needed.

SKYCITY TALKRADIO

THE UNDERGROUND BY ROXANNE BLAND

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
