"I think I'm going to give more to Guatemala now.  I didn't know they were in such dire straits.  Oh...Brazil?  They'll be fine.  They just need a little revolution."

Hey BSFS community!

If you're familiar with my work, then you've probably heard of "Squirrels & Puppies" and "Flowers & Kittens".  They're short story collections of the weird, dark, and slightly humorous.  I like dealing with the ideas of race, religion, and morality, and in this new book, "Hugs & Bunnies: Weird and Dark Tales", the nature of God will be one of the themes.  He's going to be symbolized as a giant robot, a sex doll, and a bunch of blue flowers among…

Turn down for what? - A Literary Question

Posted on August 7, 2016 at 12:27am 0 Comments

I recently took a break from writing the 2nd book in my "Ruins of the Fall" trilogy to write something lighter.  It was a little short story with a giant robot which turned into a religious allegory.  What was I saying about God?  I have no idea, but I did find out that God metaphors make fantastic robots.  I let my wife read it, as I often do, and she said that it was REALLY good, which is great!  My problem is that this story didn't include any of the violence and sex I include in…

New chapter from my "Ruins of the Fall" sequel!

Posted on May 18, 2016 at 5:03pm 2 Comments

A week ago on Genesis Radio, I talked about my new novel, "Ruins of the Fall: Tree of Might".  It's the first part of a trilogy telling the story of a militant civil rights leader, Ramsus Zephyr, as he sets his sights on Caucasian genocide, pushing Black America to develop weapons of mass destruction.  Of course, everything is not as it seems as the Blacks beneath him begin to see ulterior motives outside of Black freedom.  It has ninjas, superheroes, and some sci-fi tidbits I picked…

future dwelling technology

Posted by Arnold L. Johnson on October 19, 2017 at 10:07am 0 Comments

OK, my latest thinking. The quonset has dormers on each side which is connected to stacked shipping containers. The sea-cons can be porches or room expansion. The quonset ends are flat so you can attach dome-like extensions. I used an octagonal shaped dome in keeping with standard 90 degree building technology. And yes, you don't have to use shipping containers, but they are ready-made steel frames. And you could just as well dock your tiny house on the side of the quonset.

Someone asked me what kind of people would live in my dwellings. I am a bungalow person, smallish but bigger than a tiny house. How to live in a smallish house is living in your mind instead of living by your body. The body requires space and stuff, both of which can be costly. But you can do whatever you imagine,…

SKYCITY TALKRADIO

THE UNDERGROUND BY ROXANNE BLAND

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
