About Me:
My older brother who's taste in reading is eclectic to say the least from the rawness of Donald Goines to tales of
Easy Rawlins and the sinister cool Mouse, let me read his
copies of the Lord of the Ring and Fritz Leiber's rogue
swordsmen Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser when I was sick.
After that I wanted more. From high minded epics to short stories about tough dinged up heroes and heroines
using their wits as well as their swords.

Ain't No Change!

There was a musical group named 'New Birth" back in the long ago times of the 70's.    They had a nice run of hits.  I mean, you probably don't hear them on the monopoly radio stations of today, that much. They didn't market as well, like say, Motown's Temptations.  They looked, I don't Know, dangerous!  War looked dangerous, but their audience included a lot of melanin challenged people aiming to be cool. Sly & And The Family Stone had a varied base.  But New Birth? Despite some good…

Zip-a Dee-Accepted

When you delve into the world of Facebook or other such social links, you come to notice, at least I did, anyway, that there are blinded cullerds and out and out fools in great numbers.  The ingrained hypocrisy of this joint doesn't matter to them, because they have been Accepted.

The reason? They have Accepted everything put out by the oligarchs.  When the actor Terry Crews indulges in tomfoolery, 'Oh quit being so touchy!'  When some obscure pol from the South shouts a disparaging…

An Evening In Tabsyfiide

.                   “Ulafazfi Telidosse.  We killin’ the menfolk or what?” asked the gravel voiced Veyahansa, pointing to a group of men separated from the crowd of women, children and elderly in the just plundered compound of a well off city dweller of the recently taken city of Tabysiifide.    “You! Nedresse blood or Khiv?",  she asked one burly hard staring man, his muscular arms hanging by his side,  fists looking like they shaped and hammered metal into form without need of tools.  They…

Terry Connors was in an especially good mood. What had really started out as a mutual aid session face to face with Warren and Elaine Buffs about their term papers for their EDU class, had turned into a warm to the marrow of his bones evening with Ginger Tolliver.    The b'baller had came over on a different matter, involving her and Elaine's set of female friends. The four all had known each other since Willie Williams Elementary. The then…

Thank you for the welcome!  Astoria is part of the big city.  It's in Queens, NY, land of unimaginable diversity.  Have you ever been to Queens?  Or New York, for that matter?

Sorry for my really, really late response (had no idea I received messages both in my inbox and in thread form). I had no idea some BSFS folks resided in Florida. That's awesome.

  • And lastly, all 8 issues will be given out for free and can be read at beauty shops, barber shops, schools, libraries and other organizations in local communities starting in Madison County, Alabama and beyond. The film will be uploaded to YouTube and other platforms for free to enjoy and view.

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
