Hello Alec,

I'm a big fan of the multi-cultural west. I was born in New Mexico and raised in Arizona. Come from a family of 6 generation Texans. I've written a fiction novel about the contemporary southwest and its history of racial intolerance as well as its cultural diversity. The novel is called "Havasu Means Blue Water" (the title is taken from a Aha Makav or Mojave word meaning "Blue water"). A family of black Indians play a pivotal role in the book. I hope you'll take a moment to check it out. I' m committed to getting it into the hands as many people as possible. I truly want to inspire people to re-think and re-imagine the American West as it really was-full of black, brown and red people.

Here's the link to my author's page:

Make sure to look at the book trailer and feel free to leave comments. Cheers.

Sister Whiyayul. The Outcast was about two bounty hunters, right after the Civil War, it starred the late Otis Young as Jamal an ex slave former Union Army vet, and Don Murray as a former idol of rednecks today, a reb and a plantation owner. They had an uneasy relationship the exact opposite of the Cosby- Culp of I Spy. Dan Freeman was the hero of The Spook Who Sat By the Door. An ex Chicago gang member who pulled together and pulled through the ghetto's " Finish Yo Ass" academy, got in college on a track scholarship, served in the peacetime Army and, quite reluctantly, was chosen to be the CIA's token colored agent. His inner desire the one that drove him and kept him from giving in and be a happy bourgeois, was the need for a fightin' organization skilled in all phases of insurgency. Find the disc! Find the book!

Posted by Joe Pledger on October 8, 2018 at 2:20am 0 Comments

DC's answer to the film 'Black Panther' should be 'Icon'!  Starring Denzel Washington as Augustus Freeman and either Zendaya or Amandla Stenberg as Rocket,  'Icon' is the story of how an alien crash lands in a cotton field in 1839 and adopts the appearance of the first person that comes into contact with it being a slave woman.  He lives through American history leaving behind a legacy as his next begotten's namesake arriving in the present day as August Freeman IV.  Convinced of his otherworldly abilities to better his race by a teenager name Rocket,  Augustus Freeman becomes the superhero 'Icon'.

Occasionally, I will alert fellow members to product updates by creators I have reviewed in the past year or so.

  • Is'nana The Were-Spider has released Vol 2! It should be Vol 3 but who's keeping score? You can get it at Peepgamecomix here.
  • The Isabelle Brothers (of Messiah Wars) have a new movie out called The Last Disciples. Dunno if it's related to any of their other projects, but you can find out for free on their site.
  • Steve Bellinger (of Chronocar) has another book coming out this year. He better hurry because we're running out of 2018. It's called Edge of Perception. You can learn more about it…

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
