IMMORTAL
Description:
HER DREAMS ARE TERRIFYING. In the year of our One 3075, Tundra has been at peace for 400 years. There is no racism, poverty or war. Karla is a young Indigo woman working as a successful healer. Yet she is tormented by lucid and erotic dreams. Dreams in which she is IMMORTAL. Two men emerge from these phantasms: the first a Copper shape shifter and the other a demon more dead than alive. But when this creature appears in her apartment Karla realizes they share a lust that may one day consume her. HIS WILL UNLOCK A MYSTERY. Joseph has always dreamt of becoming an artist, warrior...and a werewolf. Now he's dreaming of a sorceress who commands that he leave his homeland. TOGETHER THEY WILL JOURNEY TO THE EDGE OF TIME...To a nightmarish world of revolution and magic. But will they save Tundra or perish in its destruction?

Just finished reading Immortal, by Valjeanne Jeffers.

Thousands of years in the future, in the great land of Tundra - after the Time of Legend, we find Karla. A beautiful indigo woman, Karla must navigate through an inner and outer world filled with magic, past lives, and a mysterious and powerful being who seems to know Karla better than she knows herself.

Immortal is an amazing story that flows like water. It’s a speculative-cool piece that takes the reader on a trip that is horror, cyber-punk, and fantasy, all rolled in one. Valjeanne Jeffers is one of those authors who can make words drip color. I had a ball exploring her world. I was captivated by the surreal dreamscapes Karla and Joseph ebbed in and out of, and the utilitarian society in which they spent their waking lives.

Immortal is one of the most unique blends I have had the pleasure of reading in some time. Future collides with past. Magic, with science. This is one cool ride, and I am compelled to recommend this piece.

Ms. Jeffers has created an oddly vivid and not so far-fetched neo-Earth in Immortal. Quick paced and well-crafted, I felt a connection with her protagonists and a distilled hatred for her antagonists. The characters' backstories fit together like the pieces of an intricate puzzle. From the absence of war to the presence of the obscenely paranormal, the frightening and beautiful; dangerous and air-tight; Immortal is filled with yins and yangs that somehow culminate into a satisfying literary balance. A wonderful read from beginning to end.

"IMMORTAL by Val Jeanne Jeffers is an enchanting tale of magic, werewolves and humans that turn into creatures of the night. The story was mesmerizing to say the least. I look forward to reading the next installment in this series. The writings of Mr. Jeffers remind me a lot of the writer Clive Barker. So if you are into stories that are magical that tell tales of the mythical, then this is your book."

Colony: Ascension: An Erotic Space Opera

Posted on December 12, 2014 at 6:34pm 5 Comments

"The Tyrian female he was mating with cooed and groaned. While in the back of her mind she wondered about the light she’d seen. It hadn’t come from her planet." From the mind of Valjeanne Jeffers comes a tale that is truly out of this world. Born of the short stories Colony and Probe, the long awaited full novel Colony: Ascension has landed! The Earth is dying. Populations have been segregated into worthless and valuable populations. Wages buy only food and shelter, while the rich live like…

Somewhere back in my studies of the indigenous people (us) of this continent it became clear to me that there were two kinds of science fiction.  One is based on our sensitivity to the true reality and those others who profit from fantasy.  As we realize that we are tiptoeing into fourth, our melanated sensitivity opens up arenas that only we can see.  We see tiny flashes of light cross our vision or become more sensitive to frequencies others can't hear.  Things or craft appear above us and they aren't just chemtrails.  All we have to do is stay healthy and listen to our guardians or the great spirit (The Divine Feminine).  Yeah, Only the black woman is a Creator of the Universe...

SKYCITY TALKRADIO

THE UNDERGROUND BY ROXANNE BLAND

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
