Mandela, Man of Mission

I paused to praise a man in the twilight of life.  One brave enough to fight for his bre thren, sacrifice 27 years of his life in a small dingy cell on an island that seems a lifetime away from everything one loves, and one who rose to exultation in 1994 to become president of the very people he…

After Earth

The reviews, most of them anyway, have been terrible.  However, I am not sure what movie the so-called critics were watching, furthermore, what the agenda is for the heavy-handed upbraiding towards Hollywood's Golden Boy.  For twenty years now, Will Smith has made us laugh at and cheer for his corny relatable nature with aliens and otherworldly cinematic endeavors.  Even more, he has proven himself a cash…

Championing

One of the best futuristic films that I have seen thusfar is, "Children of Men".  Two Black characters however, the storyline behind the characters is mind blowing.

A world without children!  In the movie the world had not had a newborn child for 18 years.  They watched his every move, clouded his world with stress until he could barely breath.  Then he died, and the barren world cried out in agony once more.  But then, we are gradually introduced to Kee, the mahogany brown sign of…

Searching for My Superhero

So the media lies, and when we believe as Black women that we cannot find a decent Black man, than we are gullible, twisted gnomes that are more influenced by media than we are by the truth that we stare at everyday.  I see PLENTY of beautiful Blacks and Browns brimming with love and satisifaction in each other everyday.  When I buy into propoganda, I practice putting up walls in the way of a Brotha already too busy, and weighed down with stress, to climb.  Sistahs, when this happens, the…

A word of encouragement

this is not yesterday...

and as much as I would like, its not today either.  Its tommorrow, and it will continue to be tommorrow until I am able to enjoy today.  Our lives are not spent enjoying today, they are spent preparing for tommorrow. Tommorrow when the rent will be due, tommorrow when the car payment is due, tommorrw when when the sun has promised to come out.

Well, I strive to slice a little bit of time to enjoy today.  A little bit of sanity to relish today. A little…

NASA's Opportunity Mars rover was built to operate for just 90 days, but kept going for 15 years. NASA officially declared it dead on Wednesday, and its last message to scientists before it went dark eight months ago is getting a lot of attention.

The rover spent a decade and a half sending data bursts, not words, but according to…

The Talented Tenth Saga----PLEASE DONATE

Posted by Christopher Love on February 12, 2019 at 9:17pm 0 Comments

The Talented Tenth Saga will be an 8 issue, limited run comic book series and film.  This series is unique for many reasons.

  • First of all, it will feature real people versus hand drawn or CGI characters. This is why actors and actresses will be sought.
  • Secondly, the main characters in the world of The Talented Tenth Saga will be diverse as the world we live in.
  • And lastly, all 8 issues will be given out for free and can be read at beauty shops, barber shops, schools, libraries and other organizations in local communities starting in Madison County, Alabama and beyond. The film will be uploaded to YouTube and other platforms for free to enjoy and view.

The comic book can be downloaded on IndyPlanet.com

Please support this project.

THE UNDERGROUND BY ROXANNE BLAND

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
