Bio: She’s been gang affiliated, a stick up kid, police officer, repo agent and a bounty hunter. Now Jay Nova (as she’s commonly known) is a private eye using her practice to help the rich, famous, crime connected and desperate when laws have to be avoided.
Jay isn’t a nice person. Doesn’t pretend to be. Yet she has a moral code she refuses to break.
What truly sets her apart from other “clean up specialists” is an ability no one but she seems to know about.
She can read minds.
A trait she may have been born with but didn’t kick in – or invite notice – until some years ago. Jocasta can’t trigger it at random or control what information flows when activated.
There also seems to be no rhyme, pattern or process to how it works. In addition an intense pain that aggressively “attacks” her mind from inside lingers whenever her gift is used. Why she can do what she does and how to master it are two of the many questions Jay will confront in days to come.
