My idea of rural African dwelling. Adobe over bermed sides, large open courtyard, big fancy gate, great room with back yard access. Need to add a guest parlor but this is on going developing idea. Ha! like the painted walls? No outside windows for private rooms.

Read more…The idea that some of us were here before revised history thrills me. Been looking at ancient dwellings that were not so nomadic and modern renditions of them. I know we don't think in terms of tribes today and the notion of housing an extended family under one roof is not common. But with more modular expandable forms of house units adaptability is possible.
