IMARO IV IS IN THE HOUSE!

It means more than you can imagine for me to be able to say that the fourth book in the Imaro series, Imaro: The Naama War, is now available. It can be ordered directly from:http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/imaro-the-naama-war/7987470I first wrote this book nearly 25 years ago. It was to be the apex of the Imaro series. In Imaro IV, the threads that were left loose in the first three novels were tied together, and the questions raised in those volumes were answered. But because of problems with a succession of publishers, the book remained on the shelf, and the series stayed incomplete, much to the frustration of readers – not to mention to me as well. Now, that transcendent fourth novel is in print, thanks to Brother Uraeus and Sword & Soul Media. I cannot say enough how fortunate I am to have found a publishing partner like Uraeus. He is a book designer and copy editor par excellence, and he has formidable creative talent in his own right, as you can see in his Jaycen Wise productions. And artist Mshindo has outdone himself again with the cover of The Naama War. No one could have depicted the dynamic of the enmity between Imaro and his arch-nemesis, Bohu, better than Mshindo. The text of Imaro: The Naama War is not exactly what I wrote back in the mid-1980s. With more than two decades of growth and perspective as a writer, I ended up rewriting the whole thing when I got the chance. Although I was not happy that the book didn’t get published when it was supposed to have been, the silver lining in the cloud is that Imaro IV is a much better book now than it was then.Yet even though I wrote the story, I give full credit to Uraeus and Mshindo as being The Men Who Saved Imaro: Uraeus for having the foresight to pick up the ball other publishers had dropped, and Mshindo for giving Imaro a powerful, definitive visual presence. As 2009 ends and 2010 begins, I have to say I’m like James Brown:I feel good, do do do do do do doLike I knew I would, do do do do do do doHopefully, after you’ve read the fourth Imaro novel, you’ll feel good, too.
