Sparky could not beleive the situation he was now in. The giant alien monster, Xzytovhorre had bitten down on a large chunk of the ground that he was standing on and was now carrying it, and him, in it's mouth while flying high above the ground. Sparky gave a frightened whine as he peered past Xzytovhorre's huge teeth to glimpse the many lights from the buildings on the ground far below.
As long as you don't accidently swallow or sneeze I'll be fine, was his nervous thought.
Through his mental communion with this monster Sparky overlooked a small detail that he had just now noticed. Xzytovhorre was not only an escaped alien criminal. Xzytovhorre was also a female.
Just my luck. My first date in years and it ends up being with a five story tall alien ex-con. I wonder if stuff like this happens to pitt bulls?
Xzytovhorre made a sharp tilt to the left, causing Sparky to lose his footing and roll across the heap of dirt and smack into one of the monster's teeth.
Hey. Take it easy, honey. I'm not a sack of potatoes here.
Xzytovhorre growled.
Ok. Take it easy. I'm not getting fresh here.
Sparky was a captive passenger on this trip as Xzytovhorre was flying to reach the city of Pittsburgh and confront the second alien monster, Skyron. It only took Xzytovhorre a few minutes to reach the city. Sparky recongized the numerous tall buildings below. He was forced to dig his feet into the dirt as Xzytovhorre made a sharp dive to the ground.
Easy sweetheart. Not so fast.
Looking out through Xzytovhorre's mouth Sparky saw that they here diving towards the ruined area surrounding market square. Several buildings in the surrounding area were demolished and reduced to heaps of rubble that buried the streets. laying among the rubble was the wreckage of downed helicopters and the attacking jet planes that were assaulting Skyron earlier. Xzytovhorre landed near the edge of the square. Touching down it created a loud boom. Sparky was shaken off his his feet by the impact and rolled onto his back. He jumped back to his feet and looked out from Xzytovhorre's mouth to see the most prominent building several yards across the square. PPG Tower. Attached to the surface of the building were large, green clusters of Skyron's eggs. They had now tripled in size from the last time Sparky had seen them. Standing in front of the building was their main target. Skyron.
When Skyron saw Xzytovhorre it raised it's two scythe forelimbs high into the air. The tentacles on it's back thrashing about. It opened it's large toothy mouth and let out it's screeching roar. In response, Xzytovhorre spat out the mound of dirt she was carrying in her mouth. Along with sparky. Sparky rolled across the ground but quickly jumped back to his feet. Xzytovhorre opened her mouth to let out a roar of her own. Loud, long and deep toned. Skyron took a step backward. There was a tense silence as the two huge monsters locked their gaze on each other.
Looks like I'm caught in the middle of an alien cat fight, Sparky thought. This isn't going to be pretty. Sparky ran off the the far left side of the square and took refuge beside a mailbox.
Xzytovhorre let out another roar and then leaped into the air. She spread out her huge, silvery wings and climbed high into the air. Sparky watched as Xzytovhorre flew off away from the area, then made a sharp turn and headed back at a high speed. She flew down on a fast, direct course towards Skyron. Xzytohvorre slammed head first into Skyron. Her two horns smashing into the monster's toothy face. There was an explosive boom as the impact sent Skyron tumbling backward into a building at the left side of PPG Tower. The building was instantly shattered as Skyron's body burst through it and kept rolling. Skyron tumbled across several streets beyond market Square until it landed in the river, creating a large splash.
Sparky barked twice with glee. Good one darling! Kick her ass!
Xzytovhorre raised it's head and let out another roar. She backed away towards the other side of the square.
Looking across the square and through the cloud of dust from the demolished building, Sparky saw Skyron storming back. It was bearing a long gash in between a row of it's eyes. A stream of thick green blood spilling out from the wound. Skyron lunged for Xzytovhorre, raising it's two scythe forelimbs. Xzytovhorre raised it's huge right fist and swung it around to deliver a potent punch to the side of Skyron's head. Skyron screeched as it staggered backward. It quickly recovered from the blow and made a second charge at Xzytovhorre. Xzytovhorre reacted by giving Skyron a powerful left cross punch to it's face. Skyron let out another screech and again staggered back. Xzytovhorre quickly followed up on the attack by spinning her body around and slamming her massive tail into Skyron. The impact knocked Skyron to the right and sent it rolling over to collide with a building on the other side of the square.
From his safe vantage point next to the mailbox, Sparky was thrilled at witnessing the titanic battle. And the fact that Xzytovhorre appeared to be winning. Great shot baby! You really nailed that bitch! Take it to her!
Sparky's eyes glanced over to PPG tower. Skyron's eggs were still pulsating and growing. Through the eggs slimey membranes he could see things moving inside. Sparky feared that Skyron's eggs were about to hatch any moment. Uh oh! Big problem about to come bigger! We're about to be up to our ears with these freaks!
Sparky dashed away from the mailbox and ran out to the middle of the square. Barking frantically along the way to get Xzytovhorre's attention. Eggs! Eggs! The eggs, sweetheart!
Xzytovhorre turned and looked at Sparky. Sparky was still barking as he was facing the PPG building, infested with alien eggs. Xzytovhorre turned and faced the building. She growled. Then she opened her mouth wide and belched out a large jet of fire intermingled with jagged streams of lightning like energy. The firepower streaked across the square and struck the base of the building. It created four large fiery explosions as it burned it's way up to the top of building. The entire building became engulfed in flames. Skyron's eggs were instantly incinerated.
Fried eggs sunny side up, thought Sparky. Just the way I like them.
Skyron Recovered from Xzytovhorre's attack and rushed over to the buring building. It let out a high pitched screech and circled the building, tapping it's scythe fore limbs and tentacles into the flames in an attempt to save her eggs. Then Skyron turned and faced Xzytovhorre. It clenched it's arsenal of sharp teeth and let out a long, menacing hiss.
Sparky whinced. Holy mama. That's one pissed off bug.
Xzytovhorre backed away as Skyron remained still. The long tentacles on it's back lashing through the air. Then Skyron made a high leap into the air towards Xzytovhorre. Xzytovhorre jumped back to avoid Skyron's scythe fore limbs. The large blades dug deep into the ground. Skyron quickly pulled out the forlimbs and rapidly slashed them down again while it charged at Xzyrovhorre. Xzytovhorre rapidly darted to the left and right as she backed away from the assaulting blades. Both monsters exited market square and crossed Fifth avenue. Xzytovhorre backed into a tall building and leaped into the air just as Skyron was reaching for her with it's tentacles. Xzytovhorre flew in a circle and then dove down behind the row of buildings. SKyron hesitated. Looking left and right to try to determine which building Xzytovhorre was hiding behind. Then it moved to the left. It's tentacles whipped through the air and thrust themselves deep into the side of a tall grey building. Several of the building's windows shattered. Showering the sidewalk with broken glass, as well as concrete debris. Skyron took a step back, pulling out it's tentacles. In the process it pulled Xzytovhorre out through the building. A huge gaping hole was ripped through the building as Xzytovhorre was pulled out. Her arms and neck caught in the tight grip of Skyron's tentacles.
Xzytovhorre slammed into Skyron and both monsters began to tumble back towards market square. As a precaution Sparky moved back further away from the area to watch the battle from a safer distance. The monsters continued to roll over each other. Then they stopped with Xzytovhorre resting on the ground while Skyron was on top of her. Skyron's tentecles were still wrapped around her neck and arms. She appeared to be immune to the tentacles dissolving effect. But they were still holding her fast. Skyron raised it's two scythe fore legs and brought them down towards Xzytovhorre's face.
Sweetheart! Sparky exclaimed as his ears jumped up.
Xzytovhorre was able to catch one of Skyron's scythe blades in her mouth while grabbing the other in her clawed hand. Skyron hissed and then let out a roar. It thrashed it's tail left and right. Then raised it up over it's body, bringing the tip down to Xzytovhorre. From the tip of it's tail emerged a long, sharp stinger. Still struggling to hold her grip on Skyron's scythe blades Xzytovhorre used her free hand to grab the stinger before it delivered a lethal strike to her face.
Sparky was fearing that Xzytovhorre was in trouble. He did not know how long she could continue to keep Skyron at bay. Sweetheart! get up! get up!
Sparky watched as Skyron's scythe blade and stinger were getting closer to Xzytovhorre's face. The blade that she was holding in her mouth was beginning to slip out as Skyron was trying to pull it away. And Skyrons tentacles wrapped around her neck and arms appeared to tighten their grip. Fearful for Xzytovhorre's life Sparky was compelled to try and do something to try to help her. While disregarding his own safety. Hold on, Sweetheart. I'm coming.
Sparky sprinted across the square, belting out his rapid high pitched barks like a battle cry. He stopped at the tip on one of Skyron's legs. Still barking he looked up along the enourmous leg while wondering what to next besides bark. This is stupid. What the hell am I doing here? Looking up near Skyron's head he noticed a row of the monster's crimson eyes moving to look down at him. In spite of this unnerving sight Sparky continued to bark.
Xzyhovhorre took advantage of skyron's moment of distraction. Her mouth released the hold on Skyron's scythe blade and spat out a burst of her fire mingled with lightning-like energy to Skyron. The energy created a powerful explosion on Skyron's face. Skyron screeched in pain. Sparky screeched out in fear. He turned and ran back to the square to observe the battle. Xzytovhorre spat out a second energy burst to Skyron's face. It's force lifted Skyron off of the ground and sent it flying back. Skyron landed on it's back. It's legs thrashing wildly about while twisting it's body. Then it quickly turned itself upright.
Xzytovhorre jumped back away from Skyron. She opened her mouth and spat out another energy burst at Skyron. Skyron countered by raising it two scythe blades and crossing them in front of it's face. Xzytovhorre's energy burst struck the blades and were effectivly blocked. Xzytohvorre spat out another burst but this one was also blocked. Xzytovhorre growled and took a step back. Then it opened it's mouth and spat out a cloud of white mist, followed by a blue stream of energy. The energy bathed over Skyron's scythe blades, creating a coating of frost upon contact. Xzytovhorre continued the attack until Skyron's blades turned white with frost and began to sprout several pointed icicles. Xzytovhorre stopped it's frost attack and spat out another burst of firey energy from it's mouth. With Skyron's scythe blades in a frozen, brittle state the energy freely ripped through them. Shattering them into small fragments. The energy burst seared through skyron's scythe blades and burned through it's tail. The severed appendage dropped to the ground. Skyron's mouth gaped open to let out a high pitched shriek upon losing both scyths blades and it's tail. Xzytovhorre continued to press it's attack by spitting out another energy burst at the tentacles along Skyron's back. The energy burst produced three explosions across Skyron. It's deadly tentacles were all blown off of it's now flaming back. The explosions also tore off three of skyron's long spidery legs.
Sparky was completely awestruck as he watched Xzytovhorre continuing to press her attack by diving on top of Skyron and using her claws to rip across the monster's face and back. After a moment of dishing out this punishment Xzytovhorre backed away to inspect her handiwork. Skyron was bearing several deep gashes over it's body. All of them oozing out it's thick green blood. The monster squealed and dropped to it's belly onto the ground. It made a feeble attempt to use it's remaining legs to push itself away from Xzytovhorre, who now had the complete upper hand.
This bitch is done! thought sparky. Ecstatic that Xzytovhorre was now standing victorious.
Xzytovhorre turned to Sparky and growled. She stomped over to him and dug her clawed hand into the ground to dig up the section of land that Sparky was standing on. Sparky lost his footing and rolled onto his back. He scrambled back to his feet and looked between Xzytovhorre's fingers to see that she was leaping to take flight over the square. Stretching out her huge silvery wings she flew in a circle high over the square. Then with her wings flapping she hovered over Skyron's prone body. Xzytovhorre opened her mouth, releasing long jagged forks of lightning. She spat out a blue ball of energy that dropped down on a course towards Skyron. Upon contact, Skyron's body imploded in on itself. Then it was blasted into several small fragments by an explodiong fireball that quickly grew into a mushroom cloud of fire and jagged streaks of energy that transformed Skyron's fragments into brief bursts of sparks. The evil monster, Skyron was completely obliterated.
Sparky was almost breathless after witnessing Skyron's destruction. He had only one thought as he looked down at the now fading cloud of fire. Awesome! The fight was over.
Sparky felt at ease being carried in Xzytovhorre's hand during the quick flight home. Looking down at the lights from the houses below Sparky recognized his McKeesport neighborhood. There it is. Home. Finally. What a night. Most other dogs chase after cats and squirrels. I hang out with alien monsters.
Sparky instructed Xzytovhorre to land in the street in front of the two story blue house where he lived. He could not help feeling nervous when Xzytovhorre made her landing. Easy sweetheart. Take it slow and easy. Don't land on my house.
Xzytovhorre touched down on the street. Her feet landing with combined booms. She gently poured the mound of dirt, along with Sparky out of her hand. Sparky walked out onto the street and looked up at this huge, fearsome monster. He gave a single bark.

Xzytovhorre responded by returning a brief growl. Then she leaped into the air. Spreading her wings she soared off into the night sky. Sparky's breathing was heavy as he watched this monster flying off. Her form growing smaller as she was soaring towards the light of the full moon. But Sparky knew that they would meet again. It was this moment that Sparky knew that he was in love.
