Alright everyone, let's take stock of Earth's defenses. We know that that there are a select few countries on the planet with first class militaries. The United States has the most powerful military in the world. A single aircraft carrier has more firepower than the armed forces of some countries. A number of European countries, France and Britain, for example can deploy qualitative armies, navies and air forces. China and India are developing world class military capabilites.However, Earth's existing, albeit, ununified strength may not be enough in the event of an alien invasion. What technologies should be invented or enhanced in order to combat an attack from the stars? What political or social mechanisms should be in place that would enable humanity to defend itself? And what kind of an alien attack should we be prepared to meet? An Independence Day-type assault with huge saucer shaped ships eradicating populations with city-destroying weapons? Or will alien infiltration be more likely. Give me your ideas, everyone. Because if, in the event, aliens do attack, one or two of those ideas may be the key to human victory. And the whole world will have the Black Science Fiction Society to thank for saving humanity from subjegation or WORSE!!!
