I belong to several groups of writers who do marginalized speculative fiction. A feminist group that does an online monthly ezine called Broadstreet. http://www.broaduniverse.org/broadsheet.html A Christian group that does a pdf newsletter (which can be printed out and given to Christian bookstores) which they mail out to folks every two or three months. I know there's a speculativeliterature.org newsletter but honestly I have never seen it...either by PDF or online. The Carl Brandon website is trying to become more active though.That got me thinking. Would we be willing to do one of those? News, Events, Links, Awards, Author Events, Readings, Films, Grants having to do with the multicultural speculative fiction world. I'm not sure what part of this forum is visible to non-members but hey, we could have a nice little webspace. And those of us who have blogs can also post the newsletter to our blogs. We could also make a pdf version which we could print out or email to black bookstores. Just thinking. I've attached a copy of the latest in specfic newsletter the Christian spec-fic folks send out. -C
