What's the premise? Sci-fi; Fantasy, or an eclectic mix? Who wants to set it off? Who'd like to anchor? Any preferences?(I think we should also shop this one around to a publishing house.)Hey all!This just came to me while teaching a unit on genre today to my adorable little 8th graders lol. How about a bunch of us getting together and collaborating on a novel... made up of several smaller 70-90 page novellas?Last summer I read a book called Vegas Bites. The premise of the novel lies with a family of werewolves descended from slaves in New Orleans. Generations later, the family accumulates a great deal of wealth, moves to Sin City, and opens a family owned and operated casino called The French Quarter. L.A. Banks sets it off and four different authors play a game of piggy back where the minor characters of the previous stories are further devoloped as the novel continues. Wouldn't this be a great Spec. Fic project if a few of us could commit to it? Those who are truly interested could build on a premise that's cool for everyone.
