As a fan of science fiction, I remember watching shows like the Green Hornet, Captain Video, The Shadow, and even the 1960's Batman. These shows had value to them, and they inspired kids to use their imagination. That's what I am attempting to do with my series THE BLACK GHOST. To give kids a hero that they can believe in, and emulate. I want to take the concept of entertainment back to those "thrilling days of yesteryear!" The truth of the matter is, we have allowed modern media to go completely crazy, by saturating our kids with images that are quite frankly "inappropriate". Superheroes of today are no longer the type of heroes a kid should look up to. Even the heroes i had a kid, are no longer the same heroes. they've been altered and modified to fit today's public need for more aggression and dark countenances. I'd like to hear your opinions on this concept.
