I'm curious to hear from other authors on how they cope with African-American readers who think you're out of your mind for not writing the standard Urban, Street or Eroxtic literature?
I write several genres, mystery, thrillers, fantasy and horror. And during conferences, book signings and other events, it’s always the same glassy eyed stare when I talk about my books to AA readers. I have a larger non-black readership than I do AA.
Is it the same for you?
What do you do to win over the minds of AA readers?
