Are you disappointed with the SyFy Channel too.....

When the Sci-Fi channel showed up on cable, I had so much hope. The prospect of a channel dedicated to science fiction conjured up dreams of me looking at my favorite sci-fi shows like Star Trek, Space 1999, even Buck Rogers, and my favorite sci-fi movies like Star Wars, Dune and Starship Troopers. (Even if these arent your favorite movies, bare with me).
Why is it that the Sci Fi channel
a.chooses to remake science fiction classics? and horribly I might add
b.chooses to make so many corn-ball disaster movies?

My additional question to you all my sci-fi inclined comrades is do you even watch the SyFy channel?
