Allright people it's time we had that talk...
At this particular time in history this is not a good look for black men in general!
With police officers opening fire on unarmed black males and certain attitudes directed at authorities by black men this does not bode well in the long run!
The awkwardness of this action has many political ramifications and with a Black President not as popular as he once was and having a controversial name on top of that things could stir the pot in ways that would make it very difficult to turn back the hands of time and reboot this whole situation!
The last thing you want is for the conversations to end and things taken out of our hands because we did not check the few among us who have certain emotional issues be they theological or political!
Some us play with fire not thinking about the worst case scenarios long after the fact or what may cause a shift in minds toward us as a people!
Also... We must be extra careful about embracing ideologies that manipulate us into performing acts that should have never been allowed in the first place!
Black folks must remember that our agendas should never be hijacked by others especially when we have been blessed with so many opportunities to better ourselves just by setting goals and making valiant attempts to actually reach them!
Just as we expect white people to check their own where it concerns violence toward us as a people we must also return the favor by checking our own when they cross lines that should never be crossed... Otherwise why fake like we are real black super heroes if we are indeed not!
Note: There does not seem to be any photos of the victim but one can assume that she is a white woman and even if she was not it makes no difference either way!
Things like this will test people's loyalties and commitment to doing the honorable thing like snitching for instance!
In time after all the liberal talk and think tanking over this settles down someone will soon demand that black men be held accountable for when one of our own goes off the deep end and pulling up last years slavery will no longer cut it as a viable answer in the here and now!
You may want to take time to recheck your past statements and group associations before certain entities start to investigate you further about any anti-American sentiments that could be used against you just out of fear!
Black militancy has often skirted the line of what is worthy and what is risky for the rest of us and many of us flirt with those things from time to time often without calculating the full ramifications of what could unfold!
If you truly love your own people you would think twice before performing acts that place us at risk of harm or persecution!
At some point as each of us get a little more famous with our projects we should pre-prepare statements for matters just like this fully ready to say what needs to be said!
We should also be prepared to even denounce or disown individuals that go this route without having to wait for cameras and microphones to be put in our faces for clarity!
Malcolm X once said "Chickens coming home to roost" at the worst possible time and it began the distancing of him from the most radical black group ever because your own people can only back you to a point before you literally become a liability!
As domestic violence takes front and center in the NFL it's a matter of time before a crackdown on misogynist rap follows and with this recent action the overall credibility of black men is in the spotlight!
If we are to be the world's leaders of the future and our time is probably coming up soon we need to root out most if not all of the negative baggage and cowardly acts such as this has no place on our resume!
If you are tough as you say you should take on fights that are more challenging than attacking women...
