Just a thought...
The fact that he is already a good orator and would probably be well versed on Douglas long before the movie went into production makes him a good casting choice without having to go through a long character study.
He already acted a bit in the Matrix sequel so he could with a little help carry a movie as opposed to going the expected Denzel route.
His social commentary on the movie before, during and after would go well beyond the usual celebrity interviews associated with most movies.
You can at least count on the obligatory Bill Maher guest spot to promote the movie.
If done right this movie could be a classic used for educational purposes as well as entertainment.
However, you are free to choose your own casting choice...
