Dark and Tumultuous History 101

Like many of you here, I love writing science fiction because it gives me the freedom to include actual historical accounts although written from a different ethnic and cultural perspective. Imagine if the Apache or the Cherokee produced “How The West Was Won”. In fact, the American Revolutionary War is written in a far different manner in England than it is written here in the United States, for obvious reasons.

By reading various threads in the forum, I gathered that quite a few of us here are including actual historical people, places and events within our science fiction novels. I have found this a good idea for many reasons. A principal reason is that this method allows us to tell “our side” of history. Sometime ago, I decided to revise my manuscript for this very reason. Please, I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter. Peace.
