Okay, so you've submitted your novel and have finally received a positive 4 or 5 star review. Now what? Do reviews translate into ratings? What about advertisements on literary websites or popular book club sites? I've never been apt to buy a book because of its rating in a review. In fact, word of mouth is normally how I'm put on to a great book. What are your thoughts? Are book reviews simply an unnecessarily long nail-biting waist of time (the free ones anyway) and money (some cost up to $250)! What's been your experience?
