Ive read in so many "how to write" fantasy articles, and under the magic section of creating magic for your fictional world, every single article says that magic needs to have a source. For example, some magic in fantasy fiction comes from the gods. My question is does magic really need a source? Cant magic just be an omnipresent force in the world?
