Here on the forum I got into a discussion about how the human race will push forward using technology even when all signs say, 'that's a bad idea and you'll be sorry.' Here's one for you sci-fi lovers of "Terminator". You'll probably be able to see the seeds of such a future being planted by the end of the story.
