i was on duotrope.com looking up literary journal when they suggested i take a look at a magazine named african voices. it was pretty interesting and i liked what it had to offer. soon i got a idea. i want to flood this african voices magazine with science fiction submissions. im sure everyone has some sort of science fiction piece laying around or some sort of fantasy sf art that theyve been meaning to submit some where. this is the a good way manifest the black science fiction interest to the black literary establishment. this can work even if the submissions dont get accepted.
well change of plans. since african voices does not accept electronic submissions i figured we should all submit some science fiction fantasy sword and soul old negro magic peace to a magazine named black magnola. i figured since they accept electronic submissions we would have more participation.
im not saying get your best short story but just say you have one laying around some where youve been aiming to get published and submit and say what they say about it.
i know what your thinking this is just some pointless thing that this silly kid thinks would be funny you are absolutely right. i am going to get a kick out of this.but it is more to it than that if we are to increase the awarness of black science fiction we must first find an audience in our on community.
but if you dont have a story laying around write one just send in something that the editor is not used to.
