A great and extraordinary man died today: Nelson Mandela. His life demonstrated the boundless endurance of the human spirit and the ultimate sacrifice for freedom, justice democratic equality. Mandela was a symbol of the global revolutionary struggle of Black people to break free of the institutionalize racism of Western Civilization. Though his immediate struggle and fight was against the anti-apartheid system in South Africa, it would also become a global resistance against the injustice of Black people throughout the world. Long live the memory of Nelson Mandela and may he rest in peace and enjoy eternal life.
