Watched the BP DVD over the weekend and it wasn't bad at all. Though many people complained as they wanted a more complexly animated product, as a producer and novice animator I completely understand why they went with the chosen style. Personally, the story was engaging enough to take my mind off the technical side and immerse me into the story. Now there were some plot holes, but again I could let that ride.

My only beef was the story had a 'we're empowering' feel to it and got preachy in a couple of spots. I personally wouldn't have written it that way, but it wasn't my project. Still though, it was nice to finally see a good presentation of 'T'Challa' and the Wakandan Culture. One thing I did dig, was they threw out all of that lame Marvel, 'nobody dies' crap! The very opening of the show racked up a body count old school 'Johnny Quest' would start hatin' on!

Though it doesn't look like the show will be renewed for more episodes, I hope it does. They left the story wide-open for a continuation and some new villains. Not to mention, what do you say when your Queen-Mother and Princess Sister nag you about 'when are you going to marry that nice Mutant Girl Ororo?' If you can't catch it on BET, then it's worth picking up the DVD for a weekend of good old-fashion superheroing!
