4) Blade III--How do you hype Dracula as the most powerful opponent Blade has ever faced, but the first time he confronts the Daywalker he runs...not to mention the fact that Dracula appeared no more or less fearsome than Deacon Frost! After the Blade I and II thrill rides, this movie was a tremendous letdown. It seems creative differences between the director and Wesley Snipes over this fifth rate mess is the reason why the latter was relegated to a straight-to-dvd-exile in Eastern Europe.
3) Aliens vs Predator I--Sanaa Lathan is my future wife so won't say anything bad about her...this movie, however, took a fantastic idea hinted at in Predator II and twisted it into a farce. Two of the most terrifying groups of killers in movie history and they go at it inside a constricting pyramid in the south pole when an entire planet should have been a battleground?!? AVP should have had far greater scope and scale. It should have been an epic on par with Star Wars. Instead the creators of this unimaginative piece of gobbly gook reduced it to the level of a B grade slasher flick.
2) Alien III--Really? You go from fighting aliens with an arsenol of hi tech weapons to being defenseless in a prison of all places? You think the makers of this movie could uped the ante a bit, increased the level of difficulty instead of treading down a path similar to the one laid down in the first Alien? And did they kill off Newt and the surviving marine. Was that really necessary?!?!?!?!?
1) AVP II--My favorite scene in this movie was when the Alien-infested town was blown off the map by a nuclear missile. I wish the town could have gone up sooner, thus sparing me close to two hours of this abysmal, pitiful, stinking pile of corruption masquerading as a movie. More than the previous AVP flick, this movie effectively took two great franchises and tossed them down a festering sewer. That's why I'm not particularly optimistic about the upcoming Predator movie!
