Though it seems like 'fiction' to people supporting the fiscal conservative ideology, but the game 'SPENT' gives a rare opportunity for those who are fortunate to have a decent income to see what they'd face if they didn't. The goal is to take a $1k in savings and whatever you make from whatever low-level job you can find and survive the month hopefully with money left over. For many members here at the BSFS, this isn't a game at all. However, many of my 'fiscal' spouting friends immediately jump on the game's premise with jabs about a liberal game called, "SPEND" and so on without even trying the game. Thus, missing the point altogether which is consistent with those who defend conservatism.
Give the game a try and see how far you can get without getting sick, having your car repossessed, or alienating your children. Good luck!
