With what has been going on the middle east recently I thought it was long overdue for one of those threads that stirred the pot so heavily that it got folks to thinking on a much deeper level than usual!
Black folks are the main reason for the birth of the "Political Correct" movement and often various groups jack our narrative to further their own ambitions be it the feminist agenda, the LBGT agenda or now the pro- or anti-religious movements!
One of the advantages we as black people had was the duality/polarity type movements where we could choose between a Martin Luther King type of dream or a Malcolm X type of dream!
With both men as well as other black leaders being able to speak eloquently it made getting our point across a much smoother transition and arguably saved us a lot of time trying to explain why we were the way that we were!
The one thing that we did have was a voice if not many voices at a time that represented us well even if we did not agree with everything single thing that came out of their collective mouths!
As we look across the landscape at various groups trying to gain a better position in life without clear leadership or even martyrs that died for their cause some of these things seem ready to collapse before they even really get started!
When black folks integrated and or went for self today you can see the fruits of that progress in the likes of Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey or President Obama where the mantra of We Shall Overcome has shown great progress!
NBA, NFL, Ebony Magazine, Beats by Dre... Etc. etc.
Of course there is still police violence but far from the gruesome horrors of full blown KKK night raids and hangings... To add to that often times it can be brothas still wildin' out in that Thug Life that draws that form of law enforcement attention thus not excusing us all from the punishments handed out! (You know who you are so stop it)
Having friends who happen to be Muslim where this religion has taken center stage before the world often has them making comparisons to the black struggle ignoring the lack of a Martin Luther King type to help contain issues that have gone completely viral!
Also the rush to claim freedom of religion or other rights afforded under the constitution has many of them ignoring what is going on within the ranks that has gotten way out from under their control!
Now imagine if the Bloods and Crips went far beyond Da Hood and really started shooting random white people whenever wherever... It would not be long before Navy Seals and other elite military squads set up perimeters and went to work where apologies were too far gone to matter at that point!
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton can only get you out of so much trouble... Guantanamo Bay is out of their jurisdiction by a huge stretch!
So in reality most black folks have set boundaries how far they would go in their own personal revolution and also how quick they are to openly denounce a Minister Farrakhan when he only says something controversial or when he himself demoted Dr. Khalid Muhammad for his over the top statements in the past!
What many people are missing is that leadership can work like a game time referee that checks inappropriate behavior before it gets out of hand and places other people at risk!
America right now is going through a very liberal phase at this point in history and for many people this is great and for some it may turn out to be troubling when they remember that leadership changes hands from party to party and sometimes certain individuals can be pushed to a brink to responding like this woman did in this video...
This is where a Martin Luther King type is needed to express views and provide a counter point to the radical types that forced the agenda in their favor!
When the peaceful majority is irrelevant it can get very ugly... Political correctness can get thrown in the garbage in the event of a catastrophic emergency where all bets are off the table then and nobody's rights are respected accept for those still in power!
If black men who wanted to start race wars back in the day had their way some of us would be getting shot wholesale just going up to dunk the basketball like wtf right there on the court!
Political Correctness and Freedom of Speech is only as strong as the law enforcements willingness to protect it not just one holding up a copy of the constitution and hoping people buy into it in name alone!
Minds need to be softly soothed into buying into it otherwise you get the frigid wilderness where kill or be killed is the law of the land!
At this stage it's not about being politically correct or extra strength liberal because everything needs to be done in moderation including the opposing views to liberalism to some degree but all factors have to be considered moving towards the endgame where all bills are meant to be paid up eventually!
What happens when the powers that be have had enough of your schtick and let the nukes fly... Mushroom clouds have a way of halting any and every conversation that should have been had decades ago when people wanted to talk!
No matter what movement you belong to always check your sheeple top to bottom before they start something that negations for peace will no longer be able to stop when nations get fed up with you!
This statement is not anti-anything and any accusations of such may not mean anything tomorrow morning... Correct what you need to correct when it needs correcting!
Martin Luther King... Get you one ASAP!
