I saw an advanced screening of the film and if you ignore some of the black parodies it was a good film. There were even some white parodies too so Disney covered their behind on this one.
Anika Noni Rose the princess' voice actor was their to field questions but we left after the show so that our son could get a good nights rest before his school field trip.
There were some nice jazz numbers being that it was in new Orleans.
Having a black princess in the lead role may have opened a pandora's box so we will wait and see how the box office responds when it opens in December.
Disney is most likely to follow with theme rides at its' parks and major merchandise at the Disney stores so expect to see little white girls clutching black faced dolls soon.
