Hi all,
I'm producing Intermediate to adv Shading and Texturing Tutorial for Independent Filmmakers for an Online Learning provider. It's based on techniques we use here at MadWerkz Studios, but will be general enough for almost anyone to apply to their workflow.
The video will cover the following:
- Step by Step Vray/Arnold Shader Creation (Monte Carlo Brute Force)
- Creation of Color Palettes for Look Development
- Texture Material Creation in Photoshop and Mari
- Diffuse, Normal/Bump, Reflection/Spec Map Creation
- Scene Reference Linear Workflow Explained
- HDRI Light Setup
- LUT/Look Creation in Speedgrade CC for checking renders
I'd like to get some questions that real world indies face as far as Look Development so that I can answer them in the course. So if you have any, please send them to me before Saturday evening, June 14th as I begin recording on Monday. As the course is application independent, try not to make them app workflow focused (Although if it's an app we use, I certainly will try to answer offline)
It's a great chance to improve your renders and get your direct concerns answered. I put Part One of the Series, which is Foundational on our Blog. It can be viewed here. Workshop Part One
Hope to hear from you guys!
