Books on Mythology throughout the African Diaspora

I have been finding it extremely difficult to find good resources on African Mythology, and in general mythology through-out the African Diaspora.  When it comes to mythological creatures and what-not the internet seems to fall flat, and the more I read the less reliable Wikipedia becomes on certain subjects.  The Wikipedia entry on the Ewe's Adze, for example is remarkably shallow and misleading.

As a person who is a bit weary of hearing about Vampires and Werewolves, and who's more interested in Adze, and Je-rouge, I've discovered it's difficult finding information on non-European and non-Asian mythology.

Anyone who has any books to recommend, by all means, share them.
