A rainny day

A day out and about was our plan today

But now it’s raining

And I feel a certain kind of way

The rains done changed my mood and now

I’m feeling a movie in bed for two

What about you?

On this rainy day

We could go for a walk

 In this dreary rain

Or sit and kiss

By the window pane

Just don’t leave me alone, with my thoughts today

I tells ya. I’m feeling a certain kind of way

Lots on my chest I need to give away

But you’re new and if I do, you might go away

And baby right now, I really need you to stay

Just sit with me

And when I touch your hand,

I need you not to pull away.

I got you here and should be trying slay

But life at the moment, got me in a weird kind of way

This sadness is a rain

And it’s soaked through my clothes

It weighs on me. On bended knee, heart, and elbows

Brought me low to the ground

And still further, it beats me down.

Till I’m face deep in a lover-sized puddle. Now a hazy sleep befalls me

 Ever so subtle

I lay absolute. Eyes just looking at nothing much

If someone happened to see me, they wouldn’t see much

Just some rubbish, in standing water

I should end it here, I mean, I really oughta
