EXCERPT

EXT. BAHAMAS BEACH - DAY

Taking off her shoes and socks, Avalon splashes into the

small waves of water until her cotton dress has turned sheer

and clings to her body.

Wiping her face with water, she pushes back her hair

revealing pronounced NODULES on the sides of her neck.

The swollen glands look raw, painful, and pus filled, but

Avalon herself glows with a palpable sensuality. She scurries

back to the sand. Sits.

A lazy wave breaks onshore. The foaming water rolls forward,

but doesn’t roll back.

It snakes towards Avalon.

The unnatural behavior forces Avalon to her feet. She steps

back. The water follows her. She moves a great distance from

the shore, but the liquid tracks her.

A large swath of water slithers onto her feet, licking her

toes.

UNINTELLIGIBLE VOICES

emanate from the water. Hypnotized by the sound, Avalon

stops. Bends down and touches it.

A SMALL FUNNEL OF WATER encircles her finger, pulls her

forward.

TAINO (O.S.)

Ay! Avalon!

The water abruptly recedes, startling her. Frightened, she

scrambles up an embankment with bare feet.
