Scriptwriting Excercise / Challenge!

Well as anyone who has ever successfully completed a script knows, in order to do so you have to start! Here's a Scriptwriting Exercise and Challenge that will be a valuable training evolution for you in addition to forcing you to become disciplined as a scriptwriter.

As I mention in the earlier posts, each page of your script is considered to be 1 minute in length of actual screen time. If you can't tell a story in 2 minutes, you won't be able to do it for 80 or more either! The Exercise is to write a complete Premise, Treatment, and Log-line for a 2-page properly formatted script complete with beginning, middle and end and do it in 24 hours!

The Challenge is to base your script upon one of the three photos attached to this post. You may write in any genre you wish. However, the story and characters must be written visually as to be easily identifiable with the persons and settings in the photos. Pick only one photo per script. You'll find it hard enough to deal with just one! If you have any questions about formatting or any of the other aspects of basic scriptwriting, refer to the earlier discussions as they have what you'll need.

So if you're up for the Challenge come forth, step into the circle and prepare to 'throw down!'
