i recall brother Milton posting a wonderful story involving Tuskegee University and frederick Douglass with a wonderful steampunk theme. I cant wait to read the rest of that by the way. What other African American historical figures or institutions can be used in steampunk and how would you do so?

For example i always thought that Benjamin Banneker would be great in steampunk story. Perhaps using his clockmaking skills to design some sort of contraption to stop slavery.
