The Construction Of A Plot

It was a day much like today in Chicago, where falling snow had turned immediately into cold, wet slush that I decided to put fingers to keys (pen to paper seemed too much of a trial).

The first act in the service of the attempt to write a book was to know the path ahead.

Starting out in the IT industry in 1970 as a programmer, it seemed quite logical to chart the various subplots in this story, and where they might intersect on the way to a, hopefully ironic, satisfactory conclusion.

The diagram below is that very effort.

As we see from the date, this diagram is just days over twelve-years-old.

What this diagram also indicates is that a mature decision in naming the trilogy prevailed as calling it "Niggas In Space" would surely have had negative consequences.
