A long time ago, on a planet really nearby, I started a list of actors who I thought would play the characters in the first installment of The Darkside Trilogy were it to come to the screen.

I have a page from my Daytimer dated November 21, 2009. In it (there will be no spoilers in this post) I listed the major characters and who I would love to have play them in a screen adaptation. So here we go:

POTUS James Bender - Gene Hackman

Commander Ames - Joe Morton

General Kaminski - Christopher Walken

Dr. Paul Milton - Wilford Brimley

Dr. Susan Roscoe - Wanda Sykes

Diane Churchill - Joan Allen

Remember, this was in 2009. For those who may have read Discovery, I'd like to hear your ideas if they differ from mine.

I would amend my list to drop Sam Jackson from Discovery and instead have him or Morgan Freeman play Lucius Walker in Conception and Confrontation.
