About Me:
I am currently in preproduction of ANOKYE feature animation and in post production of 'A Sword in a stone' The Okomfo Anokye Story. This is the a feature length documentary of the real life story of Anokye, the hero of our animation. I shot and co edited Queen Yaa Asantewaa and the Golden Stool a 30min documentary about the 1900 war between the Asante and the British when the British governor demanded the Golden Stool of Asante for Queen Victoria. It is this story that began my quest to bring the extraordinary story of shaman Anokye the creator of the Golden Stool and the immoveable sword to a wider audience. In 2009 I began the screening programme in rural villages in Ghana. I love this and want to do more rural screenings Keep Her , a 10 minute drama was my directorial debut on a drama and won the Images of Black women 2nd best new comer award.
