I am Akil. I'm a writer in my (very) early 20s, living in the Atlanta-metro area. I love reading and writing all kinds of stuff! Though I admit to a *slight* preference for fantasy, I've always loved SFF. I only recently learned about Black speculative fiction, and I was absolutely thrilled when I did. My current special interests are Afrofuturist literature and African history. As of now, I'm in the process of completing several fantasy short stories with Black/African main characters. One of them's about a necromancer dude. Another one's about a spider goddess. Woo-hoo! OH HEY GUESS WHAT: I'm also looking to join or form a writers' group.
