About Me:

Peace to everyone out there in Cyberland. Now that I'm long divorced and older ( will be sixty 4/20/15 ), my six adult off-spring, remaining family ( mom, niece, nephew, older brother ), religious community and pets are a comfort and focus. Advocating for teachers and "urban" students is a goal. Being active and productive in the community while taking time to enjoy life is what I want to continue to do. Remembering the Creator and serving humanity is a must. Never adjusted to this era, after going through the odyssey of the 60's and 70's full throttle. Very eclectic and diverse in my experiences and interests. I'm a movie and music buff. Before I converted to Islam, as a young teen, I hung out with avante garde musicians ( mostly "jazz" and "World" ) and artists, so I'm a bit off-beat. Interested in just about everything. Know of and love all types of music if well done and not demeaning, anime, and just about any sci-fi and fantasy film and TV program, no matter how obscure. Collect videogame systems ( remember Collecovision? ). Aware and proud of my heritage. Animal lover. Very political. Collect martial arts, action, fantasy and sci-fi movies and programs. Used to do Yoga, but usually use the elliptical or walk for exercise. Lastly, into alternative medicine/supplements and try to eat healthy whenever possible.
