A lifelong student of Black History, I have a special interest in the many unappreciated or ignored contributions of black scientist and/or inventors. I am currently seeking the development of the story of Garrett Morgan's heroic rescue of workers trapped under Lake Erie in 1916 using his invention, the gas mask.
