I love a good story. My favorite things to read as a child were comics about abolitionists who worked on the Underground Railroad and Tolkien/CS Lewis stuff. My favorite films are Malcom X, Forest Gump and Return of the Jedi. Outkast's ATLiens is my favorite album ever. I'm an eighties baby born in Houston, Texas and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. Parents were/are very community oriented, readers, and the types of folks who checked me out of school to watch Nelson Mandela speak shortly after his full release. I'm still searching for the stories that connect to all these influences and life experiences. Hoping to pass those on to my children.
